Characteristics

Provides proper images in various scenes or even under difficult light conditions!

Panasonicfs CCD image sensor for industry and sensing applications has higher smear resistance and S/N ratio than the previous model. Even if a strong light comes in partially, smear is hardly generated. Therefore, it can also detect clearly the color and outline of objects even in a dark room, and is ideal for the industry and sensing applications used under various conditions.

Infrared Sensing Technologies

Near-infrared sensor technology

Improved sensitivity in near-infrared region as well as visible region widens the range of applications.

Sensitivity improvement not only in visible region but also in near-infrared region expands the range of applications. Panasonic has improved the sensitivity not only in visible region but also in near-infrared region. As shown in the figure below, it is possible to detect blood vessels by using the near-infrared light (λ = 850nm), which is impossible under normal light. Sensitivity improvement in infrared light allows image sensors to be applied to various sensing fields.
