What is PX-ADP-FW2?

PX-ADP-FW2 is the adapter to protect the body of PX-FW2 when an overvoltage is applied to PX-FW2 during onboard serial programming or when PX-FW2 is not powered on according to the manual.

Although PX-FW2 is not always safe with PX-ADP-FW2, PX-ADP-FW2 helps to prevent PX-FW2 from being damaged. It is also necessary for you to follow the instruction or observe the specifications.

PX-ADP-FW2 also protects PX-FW2 from a surge applied from the target.

PX-FW2 will not be damaged without PX-ADP-FW2 if you follow the instruction or observe the specifications. However there are many cases that PX-FW2 is not powered on as in the manual. We therefore strongly recommend that you use PX-ADP-FW2 during onboard serial programming.
