Announcement on ending the sale of PX-FW2

Recently, the sale of Flash Programmer "PX-FW2" is ended.
Thank you very much for your patronage over the years.
Our stock has been depleted and we cannot continue to produce, because some parts used in PX-FW2 had already been EOL.
We apprreciate your understanding.
We are deploying "PanaX EX programming system" as a succession machine of PX-FW2

About feature supprot and ending the varietal development of PX-FW2

The varietal development, problem correction and upgrading of PX-FW2 will end on September 30, 2012.
Note that we may not be able to dp varital development.
We will continue to accept repair requests and inquiries of Semiconductor Support System.
Note that we may not be able to undertake repairs, if parts are not available.

Feature of PanaX EX programming system

This system is comprised of the common programmer board which does not depend on the microcomputer, the programmer socket board corresponding to the microcomputer and PanaX EX series unit. The PanaX EX series and the serial communication of the microcomputer, do the program of the flash memory with a built-in microcomputer.

PanaX EX-series and the host computer is connected by USB. "Programmer board" and "programmer socket board" does not require a power supply.

In addition, a program to flash memory is possible without the connection with the host computer by letting you memorize data to program to a microcomputer to the main body of PanaX EX2 beforehand.

When not connected to the host computer, use the AC Adapter PanaX EX series.

NOTE:This function (stand-alone operation) can be used by updating firmware released at the end of September 2011.

Flash Programmer Feature of PX-FW2

This is a tool for reading out or programming the contents of the flash memory in an AM Series microcomputer. This single unit supports both adapter-based parallel operation using a Programming adapter and onboard serial operation using the microcomputer's serial communications functions.

May be connect to a computer via USB or printer port. (Printer port connection cable sold separately.)

Data to be written can be loaded into the flash programmer in advance to allow programming to flash memory without the flash programmer being connected to the personal computer.
